The Work

The Blueprint is a high-saturation 18x24 acrylic tribute to the Queen Bee, Lil' Kim. This piece captures the era-defining fusion of hip-hop and high luxury, utilizing an aggressive palette of electric magenta, neon lime, and soft petal pinks.

The composition is uniquely multi-dimensional. While the central portrait is rendered in deep, monochromatic magentas, the "ghost" sketches in the background—depicting Kim in some of her most iconic, defiant poses—act as a visual history of her influence on the culture. The heavy impasto strokes on the fur collar contrast sharply with the raw, sketchy linework of the background figures, creating a beautiful tension between "finished" glamour and the "raw" hustle.

Artist’s Note: You can't talk about the aesthetic of modern hip-hop without starting here. This isn't just a portrait; it's a map of an icon who changed the way we look at power and femininity.
